The CQ Researcher Online now offers a new look and a number of new research tools common to other CQEL databases, including the option to create a profile for saving favorite searches and documents and the popular CiteNow. The updated CQ Researcher Online also offers enhanced search and browse functionality, enabling quick access to relevant reports. New reports continue to become available online the day before they are published in print and the online backfile extends to 1991.

Grolier Online includes three encyclopedia databases: Encyclopedia Americana, Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, and The New Book of Knowledge, which can be searched independently or all at the same time using the search window on the main Grolier Online page. Encyclopedia Americana, the high-school level encyclopedia, contains general information typical to an encyclopedia, as well as an international current events database and online newspapers from around the world. Battlefield also subscribes to the New Book of Popular Science module which contains in-depth science information, science fair projects as well as science in the news.

A database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely 24/7. Because each library creates its own eBook collection, the content you see may vary if you use the database at different libraries (your school, your public library, or your office).
General Reference Center Gold 1980-Present*
A general interest database that integrates a variety of sources in one easy-to-use interface. Use General Reference Center Gold to find articles from newspapers, reference books, and periodicals, many with full-text and images. InfoTrac Religion & Philosophy*
Features a custom selection of more than 250 magazines and academic journals covering religion and the related areas of philosophy, archaeology and anthropology. Use this database not only to study theological approaches to social issues, but also to learn about the impact that religion has had on culture throughout history, including literature, arts and language. Coverage begins as early as 1980 for indexing and 1983 for full-text of some of the periodicals.
Health and Wellness Resource Center*
Use this Resource Center to find magazines, journals, newspapers, definitions, directories, and specialized encyclopedic information on topics such as: fitness, pregnancy, medicine, nutrition, diseases, public health, occupational health and safety, alcohol and drug abuse, prescription drugs, herbal remedies, and alternative or complementary treatments, etc. Included are links to diet, cancer, and health assessment sites as well as government databases. Material contained in this database is intended for informational purposes only, not for medical treatment plans. This is an excellent resource to use for health and science research.
LegalTrac 1980-Present*
A database that is designed to meet the needs of students, law school faculty, and legal researchers. LegalTrac provides indexing for 1,427 of the most highly regarded legal publications, 123 of which are full text. These include major law reviews, legal newspapers, law specialty publications, bar association journals, and international legal journals. Each title is selected on the basis of criteria provided by a special advisory committee of the American Association of Law Libraries. LegalTrac also contains law-related articles from over 1,000 additional business and general interest titles.
Military & Intelligence Database*
The Military and Intelligence Database periodical list has been hand-selected by Gale editors to meet the content needs of libraries serving military personnel. Additionally, the product includes some basic reference materials that are updated annually: The Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia and The World Almanac and Book of Facts. With more than 500 titles and more than 7 million articles (80% full-text), searchers are sure to find answers to their reference questions. Military and Intelligence Database features hyperlinks between and even within sources, providing point-and-click navigation to related topics and articles. For instance, you can click on highlighted words within a full-text article from The Columbia Encyclopedia and go right to related articles within the encyclopedia. Many articles also provide links to related sources outside of the current article: reference books, magazine and newswire articles.
Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center*
Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center is a one-stop source for information on today's hottest social issues. Drawing on acclaimed series published by Greenhaven Press and other Gale imprints, OVRC features viewpoint articles, topic overviews, full-text magazine, academic journal, and newspaper articles, primary source documents, statistics, images and podcasts, and links to Websites.
